MSI has repaired and upgraded more than 300 ships since 1995. As the largest operator of UHP blasting equipment in the marine market, MSI blasts and recoats any area internally or externally on vessels and can carry out all possible class approved steel repairs on voyage basis:
|TANK PREPARATION||MSI can de-muck, clean and erect scaffolding inside tanks or externally on the vessel to support our own repairs and maintenance activities or 3rd party activities onboard.|
|UHP AND GRIT BLASTING||Ultra High Pressure (UHP) blasting with fresh water has nearly replaced grit blasting as a surface preparation tool on voyage basis and MSI has 15 years of experience with these machines world-wide. Using a fleet of 25+ UHP machines tailored for onboard use and a staff of over 100 UHP operators, MSI is able to assist with any size requirement clients may have.
Grit blasting is used as required to e.g. prepare areas for SPS overlay or ready scrubbers and filters for specialty coatings like vinyl ester glass flake products.
|COATING||Using professional crews with spray painting experience from coatings repairs on over 300 vessels, MSI can repair or replace any coating system onboard.|
|STEEL REPAIRS||MSI carries out class approved steel repairs to any structures onboard. From welding up cracks to cropping and replacing steel inserts, no project is too small or too large for the MSI teams.|
|SPS OVERLAY||When gas-freeing is not easily available, SPS overlays may be an alternative in areas such as main deck reinforcements.|
|UHP CUTTING||MSI uses the most modern equipment to cold-cut steel onboard for access or crop and removal. Piping, profiles and steel plate up to 50 mm thickness can easily and cost-effectively be cut using UHP water without any need for cleaning or gas-freeing.|
MSI carries out planned maintenance and emergency repairs on voyage basis on a world-wide basis. Using cost-effective Polish labor and modern equipment, MSI teams can be mobilized to your vessel anywhere in the world and they will repair and upgrade your vessel to class approved standards.
Class approved welding procedures, DNV certified according to ISO 9001 and with major oil company approvals, MSI is ready to join any vessel for repairs on short notice. All of our crew members and Supervisors are professional sea-men with sea-man books and STCW certificates and most also have BOISET/HUET as well.
